How it Works
Your Mastectomy Journey at Even Hospitals
Step 1Consultation & Diagnosis
After consultation, imaging (mammography, ultrasound or MRI), and a confirmatory biopsy, your surgical oncologist plans simple or modified radical mastectomy through the tumour board.
Step 2Surgery & Implant Placement
General anaesthesia is given and the breast is removed with optional axillary clearance or sentinel node biopsy. The procedure usually takes 2 - 4 hours.
Step 3Post-Surgery Care
Patients are monitored post-surgery with drains, structured pain relief and early shoulder mobilisation; most are discharged within 2 - 5 days.
