After consultation, flexible laryngoscopy, imaging, and biopsy, your head and neck oncologist plans open laryngofissure or endoscopic laser cordectomy through the tumour board.
Step 2Surgery & Tumour Excision
General anaesthesia is given and the tumour is excised through an open laryngofissure or microlaryngoscopic CO2 laser. The procedure usually takes 45 minutes - 3 hours.
