How it Works

After consultation, physical examination and imaging (ultrasound or CT for large hernias), your surgeon plans open or laparoscopic mesh repair.
Step 2Surgery & Mesh Placement
Anaesthesia is given and the hernia is reduced, the abdominal wall is closed, and a composite or polypropylene mesh is placed. The procedure usually takes 1.5 - 3 hours.
